How to set up iTunes
to receive a podcast
The list of course with
podcast service is on the podcast Home page.
You can go there to browser and find the courses you want to subscribe.
Click the links of courses
will bring you to the list of class audio recording updates, you can right
click the link, then select “Save as target” to download the audio files
manually to your PC, or click the streaming link to play the file online
Clicking the image link of
“RSS” opens a new window with podcast xml contents. Copy the URL in the address
bar. This is the link of podcasts.
Open iTunes you download.
Click on the menu of "Advanced", and then select "Subscribe to Podcast..." from the menu.
Paste the copied URL into the windows box of "Subscribe to Podcast". Click “OK” to subscribe to the podcast.
As soon as you subscribed, the channel for the course will be added to the podcast list. iTunes will display the "Podcasts" screen with a list of podcasts you subscribed. Clicking the field shows all the available audio files. However, only the latest recording will be downloaded if the podcast has more than one recording. You can click on the "GET" button next to the filename to manually download the audio files. iTunes checks daily updates in default setting. You can change to hourly or weekly if you want. The new course recording will download to your PC automatically as soon as it becomes available.
These steps can be repeated to add more courses.
